Environmental Health and Safety Consultant – entry level


Emilcott Associates is seeking an entry level Environmental Health & Safety Consultant to be trained to monitor, collect air quality samples for our client’s Air Quality Monitoring Programs.


Essential responsibilities and duties include:

  • Learn air quality monitoring regulations, methods, and procedures to produce and report results from our client’s Air Quality Monitoring Program.
  • Responsible for air monitoring stations on construction, remediation, or superfund sites.
  • Address issues such as relocating air monitoring stations in support of project activity, routine calibration and maintenance, adjustment of solar cells, and/or recharging of batteries.
  • Perform basic maintenance and electronic troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, results-oriented individual with a high level of enthusiasm, and passion for the work.


Required qualifications: 


  • Positive, motivating attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work successfully with a diverse range of people.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any STEM field.
  • Interested in learning about different areas of Environmental Health & Safety.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Ability & willingness to travel to various client sites. Field work as required.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Able to work flexible days/hours to meet needs of project.
  • Valid driver’s license; reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Comfort using common hand tools.
